Holiday in Bed

Holiday in Bed

The commotion of  one twig pushing another

woke me up

Jumping lopsidedly

the other knocked back

The tree applauded

in a silent quiver

Still grumpy as ever

the sky looked

I should get up and cook the last meal

of my holiday week

And turn on the radio

for weather

Weep again the sky out there

what for

Bother England

As if today does matter

  1. Though somewhat cryptic, I like your concise writing style. Your not a big spender of words, and neither am I.
